The Marriage Course is a series of eight sessions designed

to help any married couple strengthen their relationship.

It’s a great opportunity to spend time together as a couple looking at the important issues in your marriage. The Marriage Course is very practical and will help equip you with the tools needed to build a healthy marriage that lasts a lifetime.

Each week you are given the opportunity to enjoy a special meal together and listen to a talk. Then there is plenty of time to discuss the topic as a couple. There is no group work involved at any stage of the course.

Who designed the course?

The course was started by Nicky and Sila Lee in 1996. The Lees are on the staff at Holy Trinity Brompton – the London church that started the Alpha course. They have been married for over 20 years and have four children. They have spoken to thousands on the subject of marriage and are the co-authors of The Marriage Book which has sold over 52,000 copies since it was published in 2000. They run The Marriage Course three times a year at Holy Trinity Brompton with around 100 couples on each course.

When and where?

The course runs in Loughton over 8 weeks and the next course will take place in Autumn 2009 on the following dates: October 12,19, November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 and December 7, from 7.30-10.00pm. The cost of £60 per couple includes manuals and meals. It is held in Grosvenor Hall, Grosvenor Drive, Loughton, IG10 2LG.
